Bujinkan

“To train in Noda, Japan at the Honbu under Soke is both an honor and requisite for anyone on the path to true Budo. To attempt to understand the way, without watching this great man would be insurmountable to say the least” --DL

In 1974, Dr. Hatsumi founded the Bujinkan Dojo to teach Togakure Ryu Ninpo, Gyokushin Ryu Ninpo, Kumogakure Ryu Ninpo, Koto Ryu Koppo-Jutsu, Kukishin Ryu, Gikan Ryu, Hontai Yoshin Ryu, Gyokko Ryu, Hontai Yoshin Takagi Ryu, and Shinden Fudo Ryu.

These nine Ryu, together referred to as Budo Taijustsu, are all original, ancient martial art schools of feudal Japan that integrate physical, intellectual and spiritual elements for personal growth and development. The Bujinkan has approximately 12,000 practitioners worldwide.

The Bujinkan was and is founded on Dr. Hatsumi’s teaching and philosophy. His values, time, effort, and instruction are all vital to the understanding of the balance that is Budo; he continues to proffer his straightforward clarity that he has gained in his own studies that began with his teacher, O Sensei Takumatsu.
